Support Services for Your Community

About the Program

🚐 Non-Emergency Transportation for Seniors

Safe, Reliable Access to Care and Daily Essentials

The Transportations & Medical Delivery Services Program at ANU Community Development Corporation provides reliable, community-focused transportation for seniors, veterans, and families who need assistance reaching essential appointments, services, and resources. We also provide safe delivery of medical items, prescriptions, and essential supplies for individuals who face mobility, health, or transportation challenges.

ANU Community Development Corporation provides compassionate, reliable, and dignified non-emergency transportation services for seniors who face mobility, health, or financial barriers to accessing essential services. Many older adults miss critical medical appointments or struggle to obtain groceries and prescriptions due to transportation challenges. Our program ensures that seniors remain connected to healthcare, nutrition, and community resources — allowing them to age safely and independently in their homes.

Our mission is to ensure that no one is left without access to the care and services they depend on.

Program Highlights

  • Medical appointments

  • Pharmacy visits

  • Grocery/food assistance pickups

  • Community service locations

  • Senior centers & veteran resource offices

Our transportation services help individuals maintain independence, stay connected, and access the support they need.

  • Essential home health items

Deliveries are designed to support seniors, Alzheimer’s caregivers, veterans, and families with limited mobility or transportation access.

Dependable, Compassionate Support

Our services are designed to provide:

  • Safe, reliable transportation

  • Timely and secure deliveries

  • Friendly, respectful assistance

  • Support for individuals with mobility limitations

🧭 Why This Service Is Needed

Many seniors in DeKalb County and surrounding communities:

  • Do not drive due to health conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, stroke, or mobility limitations

  • Live on fixed incomes and cannot afford ride-share or private transportation

  • Have limited family support during daytime hours

  • Miss medical appointments due to unreliable transportation

  • Face increased health risks from delayed care

Missed appointments often lead to worsening health conditions, emergency room visits, and hospitalizations — increasing both personal and system-wide costs. Reliable transportation is a preventative health strategy.
